Potsdam & Vila Wansee
The city of castles, gardens and "The Final Solution".
A visit to Berlin without visiting the next door picturesque village Potsdam is unimaginable. The capital of Brandenburg was once the summer residence of the Kings of Germany and especially loved by Frederick the Great (Friedrich der Große), who even succeeded to build his own palace there- Sanssouci. The palace is surrounded by scenic and spacious gardens that resemble the Gardens of Versailles, therefore this place is also referred to as The Prussian Versailles. On the park ground we will also see other breathtaking palaces and structures.
But Potsdam isn't just that- in the old city, in its pedestrian area (full of boutiques, coffee shops and ice cream parlors) we will find a very special area- the Dutch Quarter. 134 red brick, 2 floor houses with slanted gables on the roofs- exactly like in… you guessed it! Amsterdam.
Not far from the old city stands the infamous Villa- The Wansee Villa, the Villa where representatives from the Nazi party gathered and planned how to exterminate the Jewish people of Europe.
The tour will start at the Villa, from there we will continue to the palace and gardens, the Dutch quarter and finish in the old city.

Sachsenhausen Camp
The first and main concentration camp in Berlin
The Sachsenhausen camp was one of the first concentration camps established by the Nazis near the city of Berlin, and it is currently used as a memorial site in memory of more than 200,000 prisoners who were imprisoned and killed there, including Jews, communists, homosexuals, gypsies, Jehovah's Witnesses and opponents of the Reich regime.
This is an opportunity to take a look at the dark daily routine that was in the camp, to go through the many stories of heroism alongside the horrors where many lives were cut short.
In the camp there are many sites such as the Jewish barracks, the prison, station Z which was the last station in the camp and the clinics where experiments were carried out on prisoners.
For those of you who have not been on the trip to Poland or for those who wish to join the tour if only to get to know more layers and faces of the other Holocaust - this is an extraordinary opportunity, about half an hour away from Berlin, with experienced guides and an invaluable experience.
